Product Review: Crazy Cat Cat Quest

I have to say... this toy is a brilliant idea. It's your standard "thing on a string on a stick" model of cat toy, but the thing in question is a motorized dragon fly that flaps it's wings in a convincingly insect-like manner. Katamari's initial reactions were: Confusion...interest...KILL!

We can usually give her a pretty good workout with it, and the only drawbacks seem to be that she likes it TOO much. The legs of the dragonfly are very thin and two of them broke off at the feet, plus she's left chew-marks all over one of the wings. She only once managed to pull a wing off, but we found it pretty easy to reattach. Despite the abuse, it still works fine and the price is low enough (around ten bucks) that it's not a big deal. It takes AA batteries, but luckily they come included.

This is another "vintage" Katamari video. In it, Kitten Katamari stages two sneak attacks and does what I call "the puffy sideways dance" where she puffs up her tail and hops sideways to make herself look big and intimidating.
