I'm an artiste and bon vivant who happens to own a freakishly cute cat. Currently we are both living in Mexico.
...when you can see a perfectly good leopard-print kitty hammock in the background.
Do you think that when they sit in our laps they are really trying to occupy the chair itself? "Their" chair, of course, except that some human happens to be sitting in it? Hmmm.

A summary of the past week: sun on chair, cat on chair; sun on desk, cat on desk; sun on bed, cat on bed; sun on rug, cat on rug; sun on hammock, cat on hammock. Repeat as needed.

My kittie Roxie does this to me All the Time. I always yell "Spot Thief" when she does it. I can nudge her gently and she moves, though. Unlike Ellie, who bitches for 10 minutes cuz I dared to touch her.

My cat Stew sits on my laptop when I'm using it. He'll roll onto his back and look at me like "You no type now. You pet me!"

if i get up in the middle of the night to pee, when i walk back into the bedroom, smudge is curled up in my spot, against my pillow, and staring at me defiantly. his supervillain name is "The Usurper".
