More info for people interested in adopting Scottish folds (or any breed, for that matter) from shelters. Both PetHarbor.com and PetFinder.com have the option to search by breed. PetHarbor will also allow you to be notified if a specific breed comes up in a shelter in your area.

As much as I promised myself I'd only get a cat from an animal shelter...Folds are some tempting kitties. :)

Hi, I just want to let you know, I don't know if you posted pics of these specific kittens but people are using these pics as icons for kittens they're trying to "give away for free" but then want you to pay like 200-300 dollars for them to put the cat on a plane. I just wanted to let you know.

and sent me a private email with pictures, some the same as the ones in this article. Very depressing when you try to adopt a cat and everybody is scamming. On top of this one, there were many others that were the same exact scam.
