If you're looking for a sofa with the sleek design of a 50's car and have $6570 to burn (so it's costs about as much as a 50's car!), this sofa designed by Finn Juhl in 1957 can be bought at highbrowfurniture.com.

Awhile back, I bought a business card holder from speedcult.com, a company in detroit that makes "functional metal art for the home, shop and bar, gravitating towards: Tiki, Hot Rod, Pinup, Gothic, Horror, 50’s & 60’s and Sci-fi." I was so happy with my business card holder that now that me and the SO have moved into a new place, I thought I might browse for a few other things (maybe some tiki plant holders for the patio?). The most impressive item, however, was the "Mars needs Liquor" liquor cabinet, with it's B-movie aesthetic and sexy martian girls. They truly outdid themselves on this one. Check out the listing to see all the details. The price is $1500 (plus a chunk of shipping). The only lament I had was "I've got way more liquor than would ever fit in there."

From today (May 5) until May 12, Mid-century-modern.com is having a sale on all products manufactured by Knoll. For one week, get 43% off and free shipping! They're still expensive, mind you, but a $1000 piece of furniture for less than $600 is worth checking out if you've got a chunk of spending money. If not, just browse the pretty pictures and sigh.
This cute 52"x52" square tablecloth with retro housewife motif is available from reprodepotfabrics.com for $23.95.

Add one of these to my wish list! A two-foot wide space-age chandelier in gleaming chrome. You can get it from inmod.com for $329.99, which may seem like a lot, but is a pittance compared to the $775 for this more atomic version from evo furniture:

Great scott, this retro reproduction phone is the real deal! Rotary dial? A cord?? What are these old-fangled shenannigans? This is a new, fully functioning phone with a steep price tag of $169.00, but if you're going for 50's authenticity in your telecommunications, this is it! Available from Vintage Vending.
This handmade doggie bed in space-age modern print fabric is available from PunkRockPets on Etsy for $35.

Okay, admittedly this item is less a genuine retro item and more a denizen of the land of tacky neo-retro kitsch populated by ceramic Betty Boops and plastic Elvis clocks, but I still thought it was kind of neato.
I actually looked up this item because of "Seinfeld." While watching the episode where Kramer reverses his peephole, I was impressed by Kramer's sofa, which is much like the one above. A quick internet search for "car sofa" turned up all colors shapes and sizes.
There are lots of them on ebay for the somewhat steep price of $1500-2500. On the site EarlStation.com they have a broader array of retro car-inspired furnishings, including bars, clocks and chairs.

Here is a retro-reproduction to die for: mid-century space-age style TVs...but with color screens and cable-ready! Around 1996, Riedel Electronics acquired the abandoned trademark to the Predicta brand name and started making these reproductions. The prices of the models range from $1449 (for the Princess 18") to $3599 (for the Meteor). You can email the company for a full and up-to-date pricelist.
The company works on 2 month "build cycles" which means a TV needs to be ordered with a deposit before it's built, and it can be 2-3 months before you get it. Considering the rarity of actual working antique TVs, this seems like it would be worth it for anyone hellbent on decorating the perfect retro living room. Visit Predicta.com for more info.
